INSURANCE & BILLING
As a courtesy to our patients, we accept and file all insurance plans. However, we are only an in-network provider with the following plans:
- Aetna (Not Medicare)
- Blue Care
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem
- Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP
- Delta Dental
- Dental Network of America
- Physicians Mutual
- United Healthcare
We DO NOT take Medicaid (Soonercare) or Medicare at this office.
We are not part of any managed care network. Our accounting staff will prepare all necessary forms for your dental benefits. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for any charges your insurance denies or pays less than expected. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-estimate to your insurance before treatment to ensure benefits ahead of time.
"Why doesn't my insurance pay for this?"
Dental insurance is not so much an insurance as it is discount plan and works different than most health insurances. Your dental benefit plan is designed to cover (pay for) a percentage of your dental treatment. There are not co-pays, but a co-insurance you may owe. Your plan may only cover some procedures fully such as exams, x-rays and cleanings. While other procedures will only be partially covered, and some will not be covered at all.
Dental Insurance can greatly reduce the cost of your dental treatment. However, your insurance should not be a deciding factor in your care.
Our main goal is to help you achieve and maintain good oral health. Ultimately your treatment is diagnosed by our doctor and based on your health needs- not by what your insurance will and will not cover.
Payment for dental work is due at the time of service. Any additional services not covered or covered less than expected by insurance will be billed to the patient. We accept cash, credit cards, checks and CareCredit. Patients without insurance please ask our staff about other discounts available.
